Spring Style Picks.

This boy of mine has been growing out of clothes like a little weed and Jack and I are always on the search for cute, durable and inexpensive clothes that will last him for a few months before we have to go up in size and buy new items, which mama doesn't mind at all. I have talked about how much I love Old Navy and Target because their clothes are so cute and very affordable. I love baby Gap but will only shop when there's a sale or if it's something I know will last and really love so I included a few of my faves on this  list. They have such cute stuff but it tends to be expensive and as fast as these babies grow, I just can't see myself spending so much on them when they will only wear them a few times. Who says you can't find clothes for less but still cool and cute?

With Spring making its way (not that it ever got that cold here) we can finally start thinking about putting up big and light jackets back in the closet until next year, well who knows with this crazy weather. I have been waiting to be able to put Elliot in shorts (and see his little legs) and short sleeve shirts and be able to go out and play. It gets really really hot over here so light clothing is preferable. I'm loving all the stuff that these stores have right now especially on sale!

Can you picture any boy in these clothes? So cute! I've said it before and I'll say again that stores are coming up with more and more fashionable and cute clothes for boys. Thank you for that! I can totally see Elliot in any of these outfits with those little hi-tops, wearing that hat and sporting those sunglasses, although he probably wouldn't leave them on for more than 2.5 seconds.

My sister gave him a plaid shirt similar to this one and I can't wait till he fits in it. So cute! He lives in those pants. I bought them in different colors and I can't wait to be able to roll them up! They're so comfy too and easy to pull down for diaper changes. And those color block shorts? Too cute. What are your favorites for this Spring?

I hope you all have the best weekend!!

Decorations & DIY Weekend.

Have you been eating turkey leftovers for the past week couple of days till you're turkey'd out? We have! I think today is the last day of leftovers. It was too good to get rid of. I've been cooking turkey everything and Elliot and Jack have been loving it. Me on the other hand, I'm ready for a normal meal.

I don't think Button is tired of it just yet. He loved it so much he ate it by the handfuls and reached for it before it landed on his tray. And made a complete mess with about 75% of it actually landing in his mouth.

This weekend was all about Christmas decorations preparation. I have some DYI's in mind and have gotten started on some but I still have a ways to go which is why we put up the Christmas tree a week before Thanksgiving. By the looks of Instagram I am glad I wasn't the only one! It's hard with a baby roaming around trying to get into the fireplace and eat off of it.

I have been pinning away on my Christmas board  looking for some great ideas from table decor to trees & wreaths. I found this wreath that goes perfectly with my knitted theme and although I'm modifying it to fit the materials I already have, I love the colors and look of it. How cute are these napkins!? I'm thinking about doing these in white.

I got these awesome plates at Target but after much thought I'm going to exchange them for the silver ones. The gold ones look beautiful but I'm not so sure they work year round with the rest of the house decor. The napkins and straws are so cute and match everything I have! Thanks to Jack who saw these and told me about them otherwise I would have walked right by them (gasp!).

I'm working on our mantel and still plan to add a couple more things like this letter covered in white yarn.

These stockings were on sale at Target, I love how they look so cozy and even got a little one for Elliot. The silver flutes are from Nambé. We got them to toast on our wedding three years ago and this is the first time I took them out of the box again to display them. They're so pretty and go perfectly with the silver reindeer.

I will post the finished product once I'm done! My plan is to make the house as cozy as possible. Even if it's seventy degrees outside.

We lit this candle and I loved how it smelled for the first five minutes. After that I got kind of tired of it and the house smelling so much like chocolate. I guess it's back to my regular scents! Hey, I gave it a try.

Elliot looked like a little man in this outfit this weekend. His jeans are still a little big on him but I couldn't get over how grown he looked!

We also ordered our first ever holiday cards and I am beyond excited to see how they turn out! I usually design that kind of stuff but with my iMac being down and all my programs in there, we resorted to Shutterfly and got them 50% off PLUS free shipping! Score! Thanksgiving special. ;)

Have a great week!!

Holiday Wear.

Since it's almost time for the actual holidays to begin, what's better than some cute attire to go with them? Of course along with all the movies, food, parties, family and coziness that come with them.

These are some of my favorite picks right now and along with planning Button's first birthday, I'm planning his outfits for Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year's. Call it what you want but it's my first holidays ever with a kid & house and I'm going all out, mama don't care!

Jack and I will for sure be rocking ugly Christmas sweaters this year along with a decked out babe and fully decorated house. Hell yes.

I love, love, love these little clothes and hats and little paw slippers and bear mittens. So so cute! They're so fun and I love all the colors. Especially that green reindeer onesie and pj's, I'm crazy about those footies too. Bring on the color! The warmness of a baby in Winter clothes kills me. These are all picks from Old Navy & Baby Gap, they really hit it out of the park. Go get them!

It's Thursday already? Yay! ;)

Baby Feet.

I can't help but plan for the cold weather especially since it's so chilly in the mornings now. I have hardly ever put Elliot in shoes but now that it's cooler and he only has socks, I'm already searching online for cute and warm little boots.

I always said that shoes weren't a necessity in babies, more of a fashion statement, but now, I feel like Elliot needs them more than anything. Besides, I love how I'm finding that some stores carry the 6-12 size that I need which is perfect because it means more usage and more money in my pocket. Baby shoes are expensive! They outgrow everything so quick that I need to find some that will go with pretty much everything and will last him for a while.

Some of these picks are on sale right now and I desperately need to start ordering. Honestly, I'm only going to probably get a couple and no more because I'm going to wait and see how long they last not because of durability but because he's growing so quickly that I'm afraid they will be gone in a month. That will break my bank for sure. The hard part is choosing! There are so many cute ones out there it's hard to just go with one or two. BUT, as I said, my main priority is that they come in flexible sizes and that they're affordable (except for the Freshly Picked Moccs those are more for fashion but I love them!)

I'm loving these right now, they're super simple and the colors are perfect to pair up with everything. These are a mix of Target, Baby Gap, Freshly Picked Moccs & Old Navy finds. I love the colors and how cute they are. I threw in a couple of shoes with shoelaces because I'm going to try and see if these stay on baby feet better than the pull-ons. I am absolutely loving the navy blue booties with the cream piping. I might just pick those and a pair with shoelaces.

I also think that some of these would work for a little girl paired with a glitter little top and some leggings! There's like a million styles for girls though.

Happy Friday folks, time to start dreaming about the cold beer waiting to be popped open at home! :)
